Hello, and thanks for stopping by. I know how searching for the perfect thriller to read can sometimes be pure murder, but you've definitely come to the "write" place. I've been in law enforcement a long time, and have been a patrolman, deputy sheriff, a detective, a patrol sergeant, and now, for the last several years of my career, a police chief. So I haven't just read my share of suspense and thriller novels during this time...I've actually lived a few of them myself along the way. Now I write them. In fact, I started out in life wanting to be a writer and before I ever pinned on a badge I did manage to have a few small things published. Then I became a police officer and the overpowering allure of this unique profession took hold and like most writers who have to swallow hard and shove their dream of writing way down deep somewhere in order to get on with the business of paying bills, raising kids, and having a career; I buried mine too. Some dreams, as they say, "die hard." But some dreams simply refuse to die and will resurrect themselves when the time is right. If your dream is to write, never give up on it. Never stop believing in it...and never stop dreaming it. Your own Resurrection Day could be just around the corner.
The author lives with his wife JaNell and their black Lab, Sally, in a small town in Oregon where he is the chief of police. He is a member of Willamette Writers, Pacific Northwest Booksellers Association, and the Oregon Association of Police Chiefs.
